Tebowmania

As a refugee from the People's Demokratic Republik and, someone who feels he puts the fanatic back in New England Patriots fandom, it stands to reason that I feel pretty certain that the Jets have gotta learn to just STFU and put their money where their big, trashy mouths are both on and off the field.

This latest Jets foofaraw just solidifies that feeling for me [not that I don't mind that they implode almost every season. Who has more Superbowl rings, Rex?--ed].The thing that gets me to want to post on this is the recipient. Not that it's anything new.

I've paid attention to Mr. Tebow for a while, starting with the ire over his mother taking center stage in a Pro Life commercial, back during Super Bowl XLV was it? The critics frothed at the mouth that such could be aired. They frothed even more when, as part of the commercial, he tackled his mother. "See," they gleefully said, "they promote a backwards agenda that includes violence against women!" Give me a fricking break.

I'm on lunch, so I'll cut this short before I totally work myself into a lather. [breath deep, and find that inner quiet place--ed.]

They then went on to hound every aspect of his piety and devotion throughout his tenure with Denver and on to the present in New York, which shouldn't surprise anyone, given the East Coast's apparent growing antipathy towards anything religious...

...that is, except for, the "religion of peace". There, I've gone and said it! If Tim Tebow were a practicing Muslim, he would be hailed as an up-and-coming Brady and his piety would be the cause celebre of media darlings anywhere.

Go ahead, call me a h8ter. I don't really care as the double standards again speak volumes.

    1. Perhaps, we should reply, "Insha'Allah" in order to not offend those who find everything else so offense?
