Ex-Pat's Pats 2014: Week 7

Yes, I missed being able to electronically blather about Week 6. Too many things going on to be able to do more than listen to the game. Love these new rules equating to so many knees blown-out by helmet contact as defenders go low (thinking Ridley, among others). Too costly.

Okay, on to Week 7 and hoping it's a good game (and by that I mean the Jets lose spectacularly with no injuries to the Pats). We'll see...

Good opening statement by the Pats and awesome bomb to/catch by Vereen for a quick TD.

Update: D left a couple of big holes for Jets.  I'm thinking Ivorys run and Smith getting run for 1st & Goal.  Pats are letting Smith scramble a little too easily. Instead of coming in for sack, they seem to hold back and he gets space to move. To be fair, the Jets line seems to be doing good job of blocking and creating space.

Update: 3 & out. D needs to step up big for this Jets possession.

Coming to end of 1st Quarter: it feels like the D is disorganized. Wonder if it's from loss of Mayo to make game 7-6?

Frigging penalties giving game away!

Update: okay. Pats are letting too much happen on D with no offensive response. Jets should not be plowing them like this for 3 FGs in 3 possessions. Course penalties don't help...

Final: holy crap! All my concern on the D and they come through with a key blocked FG. 27-25.
