It'd be nice if Congress took up measures to help control the acquisition of arms and ammunition by the American people, as well as provide stimulus to the economy through tax cuts for the middle class.
Specifically, I'd be thinking about something like this:
"Members of the unorganized militia may only receive an above the line tax deduction for arms and ammunition in calibers suitable for militia service such as 9mm, 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, and 12.7 NATO to a maximum limit of $1500 per year (indexed for inflation in $50 increments)."
Thoughts and musings on anything sports, politics, theology, music, literature, hunting, and fishing through the rantings of a madman still trying to figure-out why striped bass fishing tactics won't work on Chinook salmon.
